Fundraising on Two Wheels for the iKhaya Sports Programme!

Seven local Hout Bay cyclists are to participate in the 46th Cape Town Cycle Tour (CTCT) on Sunday, 10th March, to raise funds for iKhaya le Themba’s after-school sports programme.

iKhaya le Themba is an after-school care facility in Imizamo Yethu (IY), Hout Bay, providing daily educational, social, emotional, sports, fitness, and life skills support to 150 children from the IY community.

This year,  Hout Bay locals James Crane, Bridget Heather-Clark, Louwrika Vaandrager, Antoinette Crane, Noel de Villiers, Yan Bathfield, and Stuart Heather-Clark will join 15 other cyclists on the world’s biggest timed bicycle race to fundraise, and raise awareness of the life-changing difference iKhaya le Themba makes to some of IY’s most vulnerable children.

Look out for the 22 proud iKhaya le Themba representatives wearing cycle shirts generously sponsored by Wendy Volkel of City Sightseeing Cape Town.

Consider partnering with the iKhaya le Themba Cycle Team by sponsoring their efforts. All fundraising proceeds will go towards the costs of setting up a sports and fitness training programme at iKhaya. For more information about the sports programme, and its targets and needs, visit https://ikhayalethemba.org.za/ctct.

Donations can be made via the Given Gain platform.
