Our Impact

  • 150 children safely playing after school each day

  • 130 parents/carers released to be able to work each day & not worry about their child

  • 84 lessons delivered monthly in English, isiXhosa, Math, Literacy & Life Skills

  • 750 nutritious meals served to 150 kids each week

  • 60 homes visited each term to support home life for iKhaya kids

  • 12 local community members employed

The impact on an iKhaya child can be measured by the foundation they receive and carry with them into their teenage years. Their time at iKhaya le Themba helps grow their:

  • Confidence and self-esteem

  • Ability to plan for the future

  • Life skills for real-life situations

  • School scores to progress to the next grade successfully

Our Alumni

We’ve had over 1400 students pass through the seven years spent at iKhaya and go beyond towards their future & hope. Below are just some of the areas where we’ve seen our graduates find themselves!

The iKhaya alumni project is something we are hoping to develop. If this is something you’d like to be a part of: please email team@ikhayalethemba.org.za.
